Fukushima Today 2019 -Efforts to Decommissioning and Reconstruction-

More than eight years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent accident at TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in 2011. The decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi and reconstruction of Fukushima is one of the most important missions of the government of Japan. Having emerged from the initial post-accident emergency response, efforts to decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi and the countermeasures for contaminated water are moving forward safely and steadily in accordance with the “Mid-and-Long-Term Roadmap Towards the Decommissioning of TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station”.
